This Limited edition is truly something exceptional. Its journey begins in 3 different family Agave plantations in the highlands of Jalisco (Las Tunas, Milpilla Cerro and El Maguey). La Tequilena distillery is was and is still a pioneer in the use of a great diversity of casks to achieve distinctive profiles.
This incredible Tequila was produced in 3 different batches, these were blended in 2023 after meticulous ageing.
Agaves for the first section were planted back in 2008 and distilled in 2014 to then be aged for 8 years in Ex-Burgundy casks, the second section saw Agaves planted in 2014 and distilled in October 2021 in to be aged in Ex-Amotillado Sherry butts for 1 year 6 months, and last; Agaves from 2014 distilled in July 2014 were distilled in July 2021 and aged in Ex-Oloroso Sherry buts for 1 year and 9 months.
