Lagrimas de Dolores Añejo is produced using 100% wild Agave Cenizo which can take up to 14 years to reach full maturity. This varietal of agave can withstand harsh environmental conditions that causes it to concentrate all of its sugars and fluids deep into its core which produces a sweet, creamy and delicious Mezcal. The Agave is cooked for five days in an underground pit with Encino wood, fermented in pinewood tubs and distilled in copper pot stills. With a dark and mysterious amber colour, the gentle wood flavour of this Mezcal is delivered by its time spent resting in white oak and quality production ensures notes of fresh baked agave and subtle spice.
