Gran Mitla Sal de Chapulín is a traditional grass-hopper salt seasoning that uses a pre-Hispanic recipe with a modern interpretation. Adult red grasshoppers are sun dried, then ground to a rough, satisfying texture with Oaxacan chili costeño, Cuytlán Colima sea foam salt and a zing of lemon. Its great savoury flavour is a perfect accompaniment to Mezcal ,Tequila and even Cocktails, on fruits and salads, or in signature Mexican dishes. Sprinkle it on an orange slice, take a sip of Mezcal or tequila, then squeeze it in your mouth and experience the unique flavour of Oaxaca!
