G4
G4 Extra Anejo Tequila
Tequila G4 is making a noticeable appearance on the backbars of some of the finest restaurants & bars around Australia. The family behind G4 is also behind renowned brands such as Tequila Ocho & Tequila Pasote. Through Felipe's mastery of the ageing process, this Tequila develops a character of its own without overpowering the notes of its primary Blanco form. "Our golden, delicious Extra Añejo takes G4 Blanco from youthful spirit to full grown wisdom. Silky and oaky, it’s a glorious kiss on the lips"- Tequila G4. The true essence of terroir blended with the delicate and careful ageing of this Tequila, results in a rich, silky and oaky Extra Anejo which withholds pure agave flavour.
“I’m not in the business of making fancy bottles. I’m in the business of making great tequila.” – Felipe Camarena
The Camerena family have been crafting 100% Agave Tequila since 1937, the name G4 representing the four generations. Felipe Camarena and his sons honour their rich heritage through this range of artesanally produced Tequilas. Felipe Camarena, often referred to as "the mad scientist" combines his family heritage of 4 generations in Tequila production with his engineering background and passion for the environment to create a sustainable and efficient distillery in the highlands of Jalisco.
One of the main resources when distilling Tequila is water which puts an incredible strain on the environment; On average, it takes 10 litres of water to produce 1 litre of Tequila. Felipe's distillery has been built to capture the naturally running rain water to utilize in his production. Tequila G4 is comprised of 50% rainwater and 50% spring water which gives this Tequila and incredible nose and palate; the fresh rain water offering a minerality and earthiness you won't find in most Tequilas.
The Camarena family are also behind Tequila Ocho, a renowned brand amongst Tequila drinkers and enthusiasts. Tequila Pasote and Tequila Ocho are both single estate grown and produced Tequilas. Felipe grows and harvests his agaves locally from his own fields within Jesus Maria where his distillery lies. The true essence of terroir is delivered through this single estate experience which is accentuated through artesanal production methods and the craft of Felipe Camarena's production style.

FAQ
Questions and Answers
-
What does Agaveria means?
Agaveria is the place where to buy spirits made from Agave, such as
Tequila, Mezcal, Raicilla, Sotol and many more. It comes from the two
Spanish words Agave and Eria – from the Latin word that means store. -
What is the difference between Tequila, Mezcal, Sotol and Raicilla?
First, those spirits come from Mexico, and all have Appellation of Origin, better known as Denomination of Origin, meaning that nowhere else in the world can make these spirits and call them such.
The main difference between each one is the specie of Agave used (except for Sotol since it’s not made out of an Agave, but from a plant called Dasylirion or better known as Sotol) own plant and is not an agave) and the place/region/state that is made. There are differences in their process, and each spirit has a unique and distinctive
flavour and character. -
How do I store my spirit?
We recommend you do two things first, store them in a place away from sunlight and significant temperature changes, and second, seal your bottles with clingwrap or parafilm to preserve the alcohol.
